Whatever the industry fans play an important and often critical role in the power or industrial or mining process. But, severe applications exist. They can be found in Cement Plants, Steel Mills and Mining and many other industries. Severe conditions can lead to fan failures caused by impeller and casing erosion, corrosion and metal fatigue.

Again this were we can advise and recommend drawing on expertise and state of the art CAD and FEA technology. Using these tools we can model the fan and impeller to look at stress points in order to optimize material selections.

Part of our expertise is in analyzing frequency to ensure natural frequencies are well removed from operating speeds and other sensitive frequencies like a 2x and blade pass. In addition we can model the entire rotating assembly including the bearing pedestals to determine the system design resonant speed as well as carry out a Torsional Analysis of the drive train. The goal of course to ensure a reliable installation.
